Body found in flooded car in Barcelona province

Police discover a man's body in a submerged vehicle in les Franqueses del Vallès following severe flooding, ruling out a link to a missing boy.

The Mossos d'Esquadra discovered a man's body inside a car on Wednesday morning in les Franqueses del Vallès, Barcelona. The vehicle was located in a flood zone underpass on the C-352 Ronda Nord, an area recently hit by severe torrential rain and flooding.

Police sources indicate the man appears to have drowned, though an autopsy and formal identification are pending. Officers confirmed there are no signs of criminality and have ruled out that the body belongs to Rami, a 12-year-old boy missing from Granollers.

Emergency teams have expanded the search for the missing minor across Granollers using helicopters, drones and canine units. The operation, led by Eduard Martínez, involves the Bombers, police and volunteers, including specialist underwater search teams.
