> Spain's DGT expects 5.3 million trips this holiday weekend, deploying drones and radars to monitor safety and new emergency lane rules.

**Spain**'s **DGT** is launching a special traffic operation at 3:00 PM this Friday for the All Saints' Day holiday, forecasting 5.3 million long-distance trips. Heaviest congestion is expected between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM as motorists begin their seasonal journeys.

The operation ends Sunday at midnight in some regions, but extends until November 2 in areas like **Madrid** and **Andalusia** where Monday is a public holiday. Increased road traffic is anticipated towards Andalusia following a rail service suspension in **Urda**.

Authorities will deploy radars, drones, and helicopters to monitor safety, including seatbelt and mobile phone use. New emergency lane regulations are now in effect, requiring drivers to clear paths for priority vehicles during heavy traffic or stops.
