# Drunk driver arrested after hitting four in Palma

> A 25-year-old man has been detained in Palma after his vehicle struck four women waiting at a bus stop near Son Fusteret on Sunday morning.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested by **Palma Local Police** after hitting four women with a vehicle near **Son Fusteret**. The incident occurred at approximately 06:45 on Sunday, 18 October 2026, when the driver left the road and mounted a sidewalk on **Camí Vell de Bunyola**.

The victims, aged between 27 and 37, were waiting for a bus when the car struck them before colliding with a fire hydrant, a streetlight, and a bin. Three ambulances attended the scene to treat minor injuries and trauma, with one victim taken to **Son Espases Hospital**.

The driver tested positive for alcohol following the crash. He was subsequently detained on suspicion of crimes against road safety and causing injuries through gross negligence. The remaining three victims were transferred to various private clinics across **Palma**.
