# Illa defends voting rights for 29 November

**Salvador Illa**, President of the **Generalitat** and **PSC** leader, has defended the voting rights of individuals naturalised via the 'ley de nietos' for the 29 November elections. He noted that 168,000 Spanish passport holders cannot vote due to a **Supreme Court** ruling.

The Supreme Court suspended voting for those unable to prove they are descendants of exiles. Meanwhile, Illa addressed the resignation of PSOE spokesperson **Montse Mínguez** over her partner's property assets, asserting that no illegal actions were committed.

Illa also proposed a regional financing plan to transfer 21,000 million euros from the State, ensuring no community loses funds. He further highlighted increased security forces and judges, while rejecting any link between immigration and a lack of safety.
