[#GuardiaCivil]() # Lujo Casa scam leader arrested in Barcelona 10 September 2026 at 20:00 > Civil Guard officers have detained fugitive Carlos García Roldán following his failure to serve a 14-year sentence for real estate fraud. The **Civil Guard** has arrested Carlos García Roldán, known as 'Charly', at a residence in Barcelona on Thursday morning. The alleged leader of the Lujo Casa real estate scam had been a fugitive for nine months following a warrant issued by the Balearic court. Roldán was sentenced to 14 years and nine months for aggravated fraud, money laundering, and criminal group membership. He failed to attend a hearing in Palma after claiming he could not find flights, despite having previously been extradited from Colombia. The Lujo Casa scam defrauded over 230 victims of approximately 3.3 million euros through thirty unbuilt property developments. Two partners were also convicted in the case, which remains one of the most significant real estate fraud investigations in the region. ## Related news [#GuardiaCivil]() #DrugBust #Guadalajara #CocaineSeizure #SpainCrime 11 October 2026 at 10:33 ## [Guardia Civil seize three tonnes of cocaine]() > Eight people have been arrested after police discovered a massive drug haul and assault rifles at a rural property in Guadalajara. #Ibiza [#GuardiaCivil]() #OperationGecaroni [#HumanTrafficking]() [#BalearicIslands]() 10 October 2026 at 12:52 ## [Guardia Civil liberates 25 women in Ibiza raid]() > Operation Gecaroni dismantles a criminal group in Ibiza that forced 25 women into prostitution and seized 120,000 euros in cash.
