The former pharmaceutical secretary remained hospitalised from her eviction until her death. Although a recent agreement would have allowed her to return under a new contract, she will now be laid to rest in the Cantabrian Sea as per her final request. #MaricarmenAbascal [#Madrid]() [#Eviction]() [#HousingRights]() #SindicatoDeInquilinas ## Related news ## [Woman dies after eviction in Madrid's Retiro]() 8 October 2026 at 11:55 ## [Madrid judge probes Air Europa rescue case]() 7 October 2026 at 14:52 ## [Elderly woman evicted from Madrid home after 71 years]() 26 September 2026 at 16:58 ## [Madrid eviction of 87-year-old sparks protests]() 23 September 2026 at 13:44 ## [Activists disrupt The District property fair]() 22 September 2026 at 18:43
