National Police investigate a threatening letter sent to the Córdoba home of PSOE deputy Alberto Mayoral and councillor Carmen González.

PSOE deputy Alberto Mayoral reported receiving a threatening letter at his family home on Sunday, 27 September 2026. The letter, addressed to Mayoral and his wife, Carmen González, included specific personal details such as their portal and floor number.

The incident was reported to the National Police after the letter arrived at the residence where the couple lives with their children. González serves as a councillor in the Córdoba City Council. The PSOE denounced the threats via social media on Sunday.

Mayoral shared news of the incident on social media, asserting that he will not step back from defending his convictions despite the intimidation. Authorities are now investigating the source of the correspondence sent to the deputy's private residence.
