[#PedroSánchez]() [#CommunityOfMadrid]() [#IsabelDíazAyuso]() # Sánchez slams Madrid's €6.3m penthouse purchase 31 August 2026 at 11:10 > Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez has criticised the use of public funds to buy a luxury property for Isabel Díaz Ayuso's office in Madrid. Spanish Prime Minister **Pedro Sánchez** has criticised the **Community of Madrid** for purchasing a 6.3 million euro penthouse using public funds. Speaking to Cadena SER on Monday, he noted the 400-square-metre property is intended as an office for **Isabel Díaz Ayuso**. The acquisition has sparked controversy as the site is legally designated for residential use only. Sánchez claimed PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo has known about the penthouse since April, despite Ayuso's assertions that she had no knowledge of the matter. Sánchez condemned the People's Party for failing to demand accountability over the transaction. He highlighted that the luxury space, featuring a 200-square-metre terrace, was funded by Madrid's citizens while being diverted from its legal residential status. ## Related news [#Ceuta]() [#Spain]() [#Migration]() [#SupremeCourt]() [#PedroSánchez]() 27 October 2026 at 12:50 ## [Court rejects Ceuta's urgent migrant return bid]() > The Spanish Supreme Court has denied Ceuta's request for an immediate migrant expulsion plan following a mass entry of 70,000 people. #SpainTimeChange #WinterTime [#PedroSánchez]() #DaylightSaving #SpanishSleepSociety 23 October 2026 at 17:25 ## [Spain to switch to winter time on 25 October]() > Clocks will go back one hour this Sunday as Spain transitions to winter time amid ongoing government debates regarding the practice.
