TSJM rejects urgent eviction of Sol protest

The High Court of Justice of Madrid has dismissed an emergency request to clear a protest in Puerta del Sol, opting for standard legal channels.

The Sixth Section of the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) has dismissed a request for an extremely urgent precautionary measure to evict a protest in Puerta del Sol, which was sought by the Community of Madrid.

The High Court of Justice of Madrid has instead opened a separate proceeding to process the eviction request through the ordinary route. This specific legal process is established under Article 131 of the Law on Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction (LJCA).

This decision follows judicial proceedings initiated by the Community of Madrid to secure the immediate removal of the concentration in the central square. The case will now be handled via standard legal channels rather than through emergency intervention.
