Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has accepted an invitation to attend the 2026 National Congress of Family Business in Madrid. Organised by the Instituto de Empresa Familiar, the event begins on 4 October, marking Sánchez's first appearance since 2018.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the session on 5 October alongside Eloi Planes, president of the IEF and head of Fluidra. While Sánchez attended the IEF assembly in 2024, King Felipe VI will miss the 2026 congress due to a scheduled state visit to Finland.
The congress concludes on 6 October with a closing address by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid. This high-level gathering follows Sánchez's planned attendance at a Hydrogen Valley event with Moeve and the Junta de Andalucía in September.
