Supermarkets across the Comunitat Valenciana are set to adjust their opening hours for the upcoming public holidays. Mercadona has confirmed all its stores in the region will close on 9 October for Dia de la Comunitat Valenciana and on Sunday 12 October.
Most Consum supermarkets will also close on 9 October, though some Consum Charter branches may remain open. Between these dates, Friday 10 October and Saturday 11 October are standard working days, with Lidl, Aldi and Carrefour maintaining usual schedules.
Shoppers should plan ahead as Mercadona operates from 09:00 to 21:30 on the Friday and Saturday. While most major retailers return to habitual activity during the intervening period, the closures on 9 and 12 October will impact regional grocery shopping.
