Court suspends Ouigo minimum services for strike

The Audiencia Nacional has halted a Ministry of Transport resolution, forcing Ouigo to cancel 40 trains and impacting 20,000 passengers.

The has suspended a resolution regarding minimum services for the upcoming drivers' strike. This judicial intervention forces the -owned operator to cancel all 40 scheduled trains across the affected dates.

The strike, called by the Semaf union, is set for October 30, November 2, 6, and 9, plus December 4 and 8, 2026. While the Ministry initially mandated a 72% service level, the court's ruling means Ouigo cannot guarantee any departures for October 30.

This disruption impacts nearly 20,000 passengers booked with the French railway group. The total cancellation of services highlights a significant legal shift in how industrial action and minimum service requirements are managed within the transport sector.
