The Community of Madrid begins its staggered vaccination drive on 5 October, targeting vulnerable groups, children, and health workers.

The Community of Madrid launches its 2026-2027 flu and COVID-19 vaccination campaign on 5 October 2026. The Ministry of Health has established a staggered schedule, with the flu jab initially focused on those aged 60 or older and children aged 6 months to 7 years.

Healthcare professionals will be vaccinated from 13 October, followed by other target groups on 19 October. This includes pregnant women, essential workers, and people aged 8 to 59 with risk conditions. Eligible individuals can receive both vaccines together.

Vaccinations are available at SERMAS health centres, hospitals, and the International Vaccination Center. The campaign runs until 31 January 2027, though this date may change depending on the epidemiological situation, to protect vulnerable residents and staff.
