PP files complaint against Sánchez over Moncloa presser

The Partido Popular has reported Pedro Sánchez to the Central Electoral Board for allegedly using government resources for campaigning.

The Partido Popular (PP) has filed a formal complaint with the Central Electoral Board against Pedro Sánchez following a press conference at Moncloa. The opposition claims the President used the seat of government to present achievements and attack rivals.

The complaint coincides with the dissolution of the Cortes Generales for the general elections on 29 November. The PP demands the removal of the press conference video from official sites and a disciplinary file be opened against the Spanish Prime Minister.

Sánchez has previously been found in violation of electoral laws during six different processes, resulting in four fines totalling 6,600 euros. The Supreme Court has already confirmed two of these sanctions as the board considers further legal restrictions.
