Spain sees snow and 30C heat for Pilar weekend

Meteorologist Roberto Brasero forecasts a mix of Pyrenean snow and southern heat before stability returns for the Pilar long weekend.

Antena 3 meteorologist Roberto Brasero reports contrasting conditions across Spain as snow falls on Pyrenean peaks while southern cities exceed 30 degrees Celsius. The Pilar long weekend will see decreasing rainfall, though Friday showers may affect the Mediterranean.

A North African disturbance is expected to impact Ceuta, Melilla, and the Canary Islands this Friday and Saturday. While Lanzarote and Ceuta face precipitation, a northern weather front will arrive late Saturday, bringing cloudiness and cooler temperatures.

Stability returns on Sunday as temperatures begin to climb nationwide. Brasero forecasts sunny afternoons for most territories during the holiday, with a significant heat increase starting Monday, signalling a potential return to summer-like conditions next week.
