Spanish home seekers prefer three-bedroom flats

A pisos.com report shows 38.2% of Spanish housing searches target three-bedroom homes, with most demand focused under 200,000 euros.

A report by pisos.com reveals that 38.2% of housing searches in Spain are for three-bedroom homes. Two-bedroom properties follow at 20.3%, while four-bedroom units account for 13.2%. Notably, 17.9% of users do not specify a bedroom count during their search.

Demand is concentrated in the mid-range market, with 37.2% of searches targeting properties priced between 100,000 and 200,000 euros. Over 91% of total demand is for homes under 350,000 euros, while luxury listings over one million euros attract just 0.4%.

Three-bedroom homes, typically 76 to 90 square meters, comprise over 50% of Spain's stock. Interest is highest in Catalonia at 42.4%, followed by Madrid at 40.2%. Average second-hand prices currently stand at approximately 2,460 euros per square meter.
