Catalonia marks the Diada on 11 September, commemorating 's 1714 resistance. The 2026 demonstration begins at 17:14 on Friday, featuring two columns, Present and Futur, which will converge at Plaza de Catalunya for a final political act in the city.
The Columna Present forms on Gran Via between Casanova and Muntaner, while the Columna Futur gathers at Via Laietana. Mobility restrictions apply in Ciutat Vella and L'Eixample from 15:00 to 21:00. Events are also held in Girona and Amposta on the same day.
Organised by groups including the ANC and Òmnium Cultural, the rally uses the slogan 'Hi soc. Hi som. Pel present i el futur, independència'. The day includes institutional floral offerings and free concerts by La Gossa Sorda and DJ Trapella at MerCAT.
